After 2 1/2 years of struggling with infertility, we underwent IVF and were successful! On January 2, 2014 we transferred two embryos and 7 days later found out we were pregnant with one little munchkin! Excited is an understatement for what we (my husband, both of our families, and I) were feeling. One thing many people may not understand about infertility is it takes a toll on everyone who loves you.
As a couple, we didn't understand why it was so difficult for us to start the family we had always wanted. It often felt as if we were being punished. I had an especially hard time seeing other women get pregnant easily…I had a serious case of baby envy! Our families watched our struggle and pain. It was not an easy thing for anyone.
The day we found out we were pregnant was one of the happiest days of my life. We couldn't wait to share this incredible news.
So here it is…
